Matthew Jordan wins the Italian Challenge in Terre dei Consoli
Matthew Jordan scored his first victory as Pro beating Lorenzo Scalise at play-off, in the Italian Challenge Open Eneos Motor Oil at Terre dei Consoli Golf Club.

The Englishman conquered the green with his tee shot, whilst the Italian player hit the water and lost the green with his third shot, leaving Jordan with two strokes to conquer the debut title of the European Challenge.

“It’s hard to explain how i feel” he said. “I tried to play my best” “Winning this event with such a big money prize is fantastic and I have no words to describe my happiness.”

Scalise, who turned Pro in September, took second place. Spanish player Carlos Pigem finished the tournament in third place.

With this victory, Jordan jumped from 24th to second place, while Scalise with his first season ranking, settled directly into 11th place.
